Went to my local Toys R Us and found this enormous The Hobbit action figure display.
All the 3 3/4" figure behind the ones shown on the pegs are all the same as the front one. Same with the other boxed and carded sets. The only ones that was actually "assorted" were the the 6" figure, which seemed to consist of a single case with one of each character.
Enjoy the pics and be sure to check your local Toys R Us if you've been looking or waiting for these to arrive because they indeed have!

(SEMI BUT NOT REALLY) TOY NEWS FOR 10/31/2012 - NEW ROBOCOP [THE MOVIE] IMAGES FROM THE SET
Want to know what NECA's inevitable Robocop figure from the new movie will look like? Well, here he is, in all his Batman look alike glory!
This is the first time we're getting a look at him with his helmet on, which seems to be to be the only part of the costume really inspired by the original.
I think that going with black was a bad idea. And doing it matte black was an even worse idea. But, maybe on-screen it will look better.
Now, I'm assuming that NECA will be producing figures for the movie, but it really does remain to be be seen . I guess it just depends on if the studio wants a massive flood of crap for the toy shelves, or a single awesome figure that is sheer perfection.
I'm also assuming that a Hot Toys figure is inevitable as well.

TOY NEWS FOR 10/31/2012 - S.H. FIGUARTS SKYDAIN AND LANDAIN (FROM KAMEN RIDER FOURZA)
Here are the official Bandai images of the upcoming Skydain and Landain from their S.H. Figuarats line.
Together they are known as the Space Ironmen Kyodain and are and homage to characters from the TV series of the same name (also created by Kamen Rider creator Shotaro Ishinomori.) However, this time out they appear in Kamen Rider Fourza and aren't brothers, but rather brother and sister, and also play the role of villains.
Both are Tamiashii exclusives. Sydain will be Y4,410 (approx $58.00), Groundain will be Y4,210 (approx $55.00)

TOY NEWS FOR 10/31/2012 - PHICEN "RAYNE 1.0" 1/6 SCALE FIGURE
We've already seen a few companies do a 1/6 scale "unlicensed" Rayne from the video game "Blood Rayne", but I think that this is the best of the lot so far.
Phicen, so far, is mostly known for creating a "seamless" (i.e. no exposed joints) female body for 1/6 scale collectors and customizers to create female figures that show a little more "skin", but without all the unsightly cuts and joints of a regular 1/6 scale body.
This time out, they're hitting the market with a whole, complete figure using, of course, their seamless 1/6 scale body.
The head, as with most 1/6 females on the market, is still too doll-like for me, but I have no doubt that many collectors will be loving Phicen's Rayne figure just because of the appeal of her design and over all bad-assery!
If you'd like one, you can head over to Phicen's site and order one direct from them. Otherwise, just keep a eye out for her to go up for pre-order at your favorite 1/6th retailers soon.
Available in late Dec for 99.99

TOY NEWS FOR 10/31/2012 - ACI WARRIORS: SPARTICUS - LIMITED PARADE EDITION
Now here's a damn fine looking 1/6 scale figure from the folks over at ACI.
Following the recent announcement of their regular edition Sparticus figure comes this highly limited "Parade Version"-- limited to only 100 pieces world wide, to be exact.
It's always a great pleasure to see a 1/6 company that wants to do something that isn't either a modern special forces soldier or a super hero.
No release date or pricing info yet, but keep checking in with your local 1/6 retailers for the eventual pre-order. I'll also post that info here (by updating this post) as soon as it becomes available.
