So it looks like Hot Toys' first GI Joe figure is going to be Snake Eyes! Great choice! A much better idea to go with the the icon of the GI Joe brand then with one of the movie stars that are playing Roadblock, Duke or Col. Joe Colton.
Now just follow this trend with Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander, and this line will be in great shape!
I really had no interest in GI Joe movie figures, but this figure looks like pics of the real thing! This looks like pics of Ray Park in the damned Snake Eyes costume! Wow. Really impressive!
I think that Hot Toys doing Snake Eyes in any form is just not something that I'll be able to pass on.
Release date is set for Q2 2013with a price of 194.99.

TOY NEWS FOR 12/28/2012 - MEDICOM - MAFEX - THE DARK KNIGHT RISES BATMAN
I find it kind of interesting that Medicom has entered into the 6" action figure market. For most of their almost 20 year life, they've focused almost solely on 12" figures.
The Spider-Man looks pretty nice, and this follow-up Batman from The Dark Knight Rises looks really impressive, too.
He'll be out in Japan in April for Y3,990 (approx $48.00) and for that price, this better be one damn impressive figure in person, too.

TOY NEWS FOR 12/28/2012 - KAIYODO - REVOLTECH - ZETMAN - KOUGA AMAGI
So it seems that Kaiyodo plans on doing more than just Zetman for their Revoltech line now that we get a look at the addition of Kouga Amagi.
These new Revoltechs are really looking great. I think they're really stepping up their game.
I'd be anxious to see these new Zetman figures in person to see if they came out as nice as the prototype pics.
He'll be out in March in Japan for Y4,200 (approx $50.00)

TOY NEWS FOR 12/28/2012 - HOT TOYS - IRON MAN HALL OF ARMOR DISPLAY(S)
Hot Toys showed a little preview of these displays a while back then another company tried to do their own. (No way Hot Toys is gonna let some other company grab a single nickel of their expected coin!)
There's no doubt that if you've been collecting all the Iron Man armors these are going to make an amazing display for them all. The LED lights are looking great and the faux tech display for each armor is a really cool idea and nice touch.
It looks like you'll be able to buy these in sets of a single display, three displays, or seven.
These are listed for a Q2 2013 release. Prices are as follows:
1 Display - 129.99
Set of 3 displays - 469.99
Set of 7 displays - 799.99
Figures not included.

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - NECA - PREDATORS 2 - "TROPHY WALL" DISPLAY SNEAK PEEK
NECA has given us a little look at the upcoming "Trophy Wall" display seen at the end of Predator 2. You know, the same place where all of NECA's "lost tribe" Predators are all from! So now you can display them all in front of this upcoming diorama piece!
Little to no information is available yet, other than that NECA will be showing the full thing at Toy Fair this Feb.
Stay tuned for more details!

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - BANDAI - SUPER ROBOT CHOGOKIN - GUNBUSTER
For those of you (like me) who missed out on the original Soul of Chogokin Gunbuster and just don't have the $400+ dollars to get you one on the after-market, then maybe you'd be willing to settle for this little guy-- the Super Robot Chogokin version! Look-- he even comes with some cool effects parts! Woo Hoo!
Okay, not this version is a bit more lightweight and smaller than the SOC Gunbuster, but if you really want a Chogokin Gunbuster for your collection, then this is still a damn good representation of that giant robot.
He'll be out in Japan in Feb for Y6,090 (approx $74.00)

"Ahh!! Get these things off me!"
"Say hello to my little....whirlwind drill thingie."
Batter up!

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - HOT TOYS - MAN OF STEEL TEASER
Not much to it. Just workin' on getting the hype going, I suppose.
I'm curious to see if I really like this version of Superman in film, design and action figure formats. I didn't like the look of the costume (or Henry Cavill) when I saw some on-set pics, but the trailer has me feeling fairly hopeful.
The Hot Toys Christopher Reeve figure is the ultimate Superman on my shelf, but maybe there's room for this one, too...
