HASBRO - FAN FIRST FRIDAY - NEW TRANSFORMERS REVEALS

I grew up on G1 Transformers. Beyond that, I'm not too well versed on the Transformers lore or characters.

I know there's tons of nostalgia on the Beast Wars line, but when it first came out, I hated it. Optimus Prime is an ape?! No. Not for me. But, I know a lot of collectors did grow up on Beast Wars, and I respect that just as much as I respect G1.

Today Hasbro revealed a bunch of new figures from all eras of Transformers. The only pert that sucks is that there are many figures that will be Walmart exclusives, and we all know that's never a fun thing to deal with.

Let's take a look at what was revealed and offered up today.

From the studio series, we're getting a few new figures from the Bublebee movie. (By the way, we need an entire movie like the fight scene on Cybertron from that movie.) Revealed was Arcee an Ironhide.

From the original G1 animated film we're getting another Dinobot in the form of Sludge as well as Spike Witwicky in his Exo Suit (no official images of him yet). We'll also be getting another Junkion character Junkyard.

In the Legacy Collection, we'll be getting Buzzsaw, Night Prowler and Sandstorm from Beast Wars.

Now here come all the Walmart exclusives...

Scorponok and Tigatron  will be joining the R.E.D. characters of Knockout (TF Prime) and Ultra Magnus-- which is just a lazy repaint of Optimus Prime. Hasbro is just destroying that line. It started off well enough, but it's turned into crap.

And, finally, there are these figures from a line called "BuzzWorthy" that I'm not familiar with. They just look like slight redecos of previously existing figures, but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, we'll be getting Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Kup. These three are available on Hasbro Pulse right now.

And that wraps things up! All in all, a pretty good day for TF collectors!
