TOY NEWS FOR 7/12/2013 - FIGURES TOY COMPANY - WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES - SERIES 3

So, I was pretty sure that Figures Toy Company only had the license to do remakes of the Batman "family" characters from the original MEGO line, and I think this pretty much confirms it.

For Series 3 of their World's Greatest Heroes line, we'll be getting the Batman and Robin with removable masks along with Batgirl and a brand new character to the MEGO retro-style-- loyal butler/confidant (and in the recent comics, ex-British bad-ass secret agent) Alfred Pennyworth.

So, I'm guessing that we won't see the likes of Superman or Wonder Woman in this series-- at least not yet. Maybe there will be more new retro-styled Batman family characters to come, like Huntress or Nightwing, and I'd certainly be down for a re-release of the Batcave Playset!!

Series 3 is slated to out in February 2014 for a price of $26.99 each.
