NECA's Pacific Rim line has gone so much farther than I ever thought it would and I couldn't be happier.
Even though the film never really hit "blockbuster" status, it's clear that the following it generated is extremely dedicated and hardcore. (I know I am!)
Many people missed out on the early waves, so NECA has decided to re-release both Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka. (Hopefully with a little better quality control.) But NECA knows that the original releases are worth a few bucks on the secondary market, so they plan on releasing these on different cards to allow the originals to still retain their value.
Also announced is the next over-sized Kaiju-- Scunner.
Scunner was one of the final three Kaiju to emerge from the portal at the end of the film.
He'll be released solo and not part of a "wave".
The final announcement comes in the form of one huge of a chunk of 18" (probably larger) plastic as Cherno Alpha joins fellow Jaeger Gypsy Danger and the upcoming Knifehead in the [normally] 1/4 scale line.
Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka will be released in June for around $18 each.
Scunner will be out in August for around $28.
The 18" Cherno Alpha will be released in September for around $100
