TOY NEWS FOR 4/23/2014 - PLAYMATES - NICKELODEON'S TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES - SERIES 8 & 9

Like many people of my generation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a big part of my toy collecting. The brand was strong for many, many years and there were almost an in-numerous amount of cool characters and figures produced. And then, one day, it all came to an end...

Playmates tried many times to bring the line back to life, but it never caught on like it originally had in the late 80's/early 90's.

And now, almost 20 years later, TMNT has finally once again found the life it once had-- a very rare event for any toy line.

Playmate recently released some new photos featuring figures from both Series 8 and 9. I'm not sure which figures will be in which waves, however.
