TOY FAIR 2013 COVERAGE!!!
I've already expressed my admiration for Mattel's DC line, but I've never actually collected it. I'm more of a Marvel guy myself. But, there's definitely no denying that Mattel has created possibly the best super hero action figure line in history with all the amazing characters and figures that they're produced over the years for this line (and its various off-shoots.)
Here we're shown three different lines under the DC banner. First is the current retail line, Batman Unlimited, which consists of mainly of Batman and Batman related characters.
There there's the online exclusive series, DC Signature, that is impossible to own unless you sign up for Mattel's monthly subscription service. This series consists mainly of lesser known and fan-demanded characters.
Then, also only available online and in a subscription format, is the Watchmen comic book series of figures. Rorschach has already been released is sold out. At this point, since you can no longer get a subscription to these figures, you'll have to either fight the masses on the "day of" sale (usually the 15th of each month) on mattycollector.com for that month's figure-- which usually sells out in under an hour, or you'll have to go to e-bay to find them.
And last and least, we have the current Batman kid's line...
