TOY NEWS FOR 9/17/2013 - PLAYMATES - TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES "CLASSICS" - BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY - POWER-CON DISPLAY PICTURES

Here's a look at the final production versions of Bebop and Rocksteady.

Both look good, but I'm disappointed to see that Rocksteady's goggles are no longer painted and will remain the same molded green color as his helmet. There's also a decent amount of articulation that's been lost from the first series Turtles and the second series with Bebop and Rocksteady here.

I would have preferred a Shredder and Foot Soldier (or Splinter) for Wave 2, but hopefully we'll see them at some point down the line.

Thanks to toynewsi.com for the pictures!!

  1. It's a real shame that Playmates Toys has asked collector's to support this line, yet their next wave of figures after this are movie versions of the four Turtles. I guess that's neat and all, but fans were pretty loud and clear about what figures they wanted to see. For Playmates Toys to ignore all of this is pretty much them saying, "Whatever. Just buy what we have, and maybe we'll eventually get around to what you actually want."

    1. Yeah, a lot of companies do that. They produce far less popular characters and then say that collectors aren't supporting the line.
