TOY NEWS FOR 12/2/2013 - HASBRO - MARVEL LEGENDS - CAPTAIN AMERICA AND AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

It's fantastic that Hasbro is still continuing with their 6" Legends figure line. It's one of my favorite US action figure lines and I'd love to see it continue to expand. There are still a lot of great Marvel characters that still need to be produced and I'm hoping that the line is successful enough for us to get them all!

Coming in Jan will be two new series (since the Legends line is now "character specific" rather than being just a all encompassing line)-- Spider-Man and Captain America. (Why no Thor line? Bummer.)

There are only a few characters from each line that I'm personally interested in, but they all look pretty fantastic-- especially that Baron Zemo!

I was a little more excited about the Red Skull before they apparently changed his colors from what we originally saw-- where his coat was also black and his pants were a dark grey. He's still a better version than what we've been offered in the Legends line so far, though.

Some important info on these waves: There will only be one series (so far) of the Amazing Spider-Man Legends-- but there will be "alternate" or "swap-out" figures in the series. Black Cat will be alternated with Spider-Girl, the Beetle will be alternated with Boomerang, and Carnage will be alternated with Toxin.

The build-a-figure will be the Green Goblin from the Ultimate Universe. You will be able to build him from all the figures in this series.

With the Captain America Legends line, the build-a-figure is the Mandroid, but you will need to also need parts from the second CA wave in order to complete him. The second wave will be more movie based and will include Cap in his SHIELD uniform, The Winter Soldier and Black Widow. There may be more, but those are what we know so far.
