Well, soon you'll be able to because NECA will be producing 6" scale Godzilla figures!
So for, only figures for the original 1954 film and the new (US) 2014 film. With 60 years of films and all the monsters and variations of Godzilla that have existed, if NECA now has full rights to produce Godzilla figures, they could still be producing them 10 years from and still have only scratched the surface of the depth of material they'd have at their disposal.
I'm not overly excited about the new Godzilla quite yet, but if the film is awesome (I was impressed by the teaser trailer!) I'll more than likely grab a 'Zilla from NECA's 2014 line, too.
Here's NECA's description of the 1954 figures: "From one of the most anticipated movie releases this year, NECA announces the relaunch of the classic Godzilla franchise. The first 6″ tall figure is highly detailed and fully articulated and 12” long from head to tail! Over 25 points of articulation and a bendable tail."
And here's the info on the 2014 version: "From one of the most anticipated movie releases this year, the relaunch of the classic Godzilla franchise. This 12″ tall figure is highly detailed and fully articulated, and 24” long from head to tail!
Over 25 points of articulation, bendable tail, and sound effects.
This classic movie monster has never looked so good in toy form."
Both lines will be released in May. The 6" will retail for around $18.99 each with the 12" Godzilla selling for around $64.99
