TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - MEDICOM - RAH - KAMEN RIDER ALTERNATIVE ZERO

Kamen Rider Ryuki seems a little bit more love, this time from Medicom's RAH (Real Action Hero) 12" line with Kamen Rider Alternative Zero.

Looking at this figure, I'm reminded of why I really, really wish that I has started collecting this line a long time ago. I had a few of the very original RAH Kamen Riders back in the early 2000's, but they were nothing like the ones Medicom is currently making. These are nice.

I'd love to get some of my favorite Riders, but the way the prices on these skyrocket-- not to mention that their starting retail price is really damn high-- there's just now way I could do that and still afford to collect all the other stuff that I do.

So, until I create a comic book idea that turns into a run-away hit and I stat making tons of money, all I can do is sit and drool over pictures like these, wish that I could love him and hold him and pet him and kiss him. (There's a joking reference to something specific. I wonder who got it and who didn't. Maybe just old dudes like me.)

He's set for a July release in Japan for Y19,950 (approx $240.00)

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - BANDAI - S.H. FIGUARTS - KAMEN RIDER VERDE

From Kamen Rider Ryuki comes Kamen Rider Verde! He only had a one-time appearance on a Kamen Rider Ryuki TV movie, but I still love the design of this character. Especially these eyes-- which give him a chameleon like appearance.

This Tamshii Web exclusive figure will be available in Japan in May for Y3,465 (approx $43.00)

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - S.H. FIGUARTS - KAMEN RIDER NEGA DEN-O

For your SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Den-O collection comes Den-O's evil "negative" version-- Nega Den-O!

Looks like he'll be yet another Tamashii Web exclusive (although BlueFin has been importing a lot of the web exclusive Bandai stuff to the US as regular items.)

TOY NEWS FOR 12/26/2012 - ENTERBAY - 1/4 SCALE T2: JUDGEMENT DAY T-800 (BATTLE DAMAGED)

Hot Toys and Enterbay love to screw with each other. It's obvious that they are both looking to be top of the heap and grab fan's loyalty and cash before it can be spent or committed to the other company's product. Knowing that, it's no surprise that Enterbay has reveled a Battle-Damaged T-800, even if it's in a 1/4 scale.

While it's going to take a 1/4 Predator before I dip my toe into Quarter Scale pool, the prototype of this figure looks amazing. Now, Enterbay has had some pretty notable reductions in quality from the prototype to product stage (mostly in the face paint apps), so if I was wanting this figure, I'd have to wait for an in-hand review before committing that much money to a pre-order on this one.

Here's the pics of this beauty, and just for fun, let's count the days before Hot Toys does some kind of counter-reveal of their own.

I'm not sure if it's cool or not that Bandai has decided to go with the modern Kong rather than the original. This one certainly looks more realistic and bad-ass, but the original is a classic!

Also, they don't show the little Ann Darrow that Kong was holding in his hand at the reveal during NYCC, so I'm not sure what's happened to her. However, the figure will include three different facial expressions that you can switch out to recreate the many moods of Kong.
