From its badass appearance in the Iron Man 3 trailers, I expected this "Igor" armor to be a total ass kickin' machine in the film.
Instead, I think it just held up something heavy until it was destroyed. Yay. The whole Iron Man 3 film was.... okay, but ultimately a letdown. I kept waiting for the moment when Tony Stark would inhabit an armor that would finally allow him to kick some ass and end the battle a triumphant super hero-- y'know, like he did in Iron Man 1, Iron Man 2 and The Avengers. Instead, all his suits seemed to made of soft butter or were held together with something akin to Scotch tape and spit.
So, while all these suits from Iron Man 3 are brilliantly designed and perfectly recreated by Hot Toys (and Play Imaginative), because of the film itself, and the suits performances and pitiful dud of a battle at the end, I find a serious lack of motivation to own any of them.
That being said, having seen this beauty of a figure in person at SDCC in July, it's beautiful beast of a figure.
Igor will come with a $509.99 price tag and is due in October of 2014.
