Once again, thanks to the good geeks over at Entertainment Earth, we're getting our first look at the final finished 6" Greedo figure for the Star Wars Black Series line.
Can. Not. Wait. For this line!!! This is the firs time I've been excited about Star Wars toys since like 1994 (and 1984 before that), and those figures at the time ended up kinda suckin' in the long run. (Although just having SW back on the pegs in stores in any form gave me the geek giddies at the time.) Luke looked like He-Man. Remember those? Awesome work, Kenner!
Greedo here, however, looks fantastic! When I think about it, it's funny how a character like Greed-- who essentially had about 90 seconds of screen time-- could be such a "major player" in the toy line, and in collector's minds. I think it's only because of the original toy. I mean, we all had him and played with him for years! So, I think that it's more of the nostalgia of the original figure that makes Greedo such a cool character to us. Either that or the funky way his lips moved when he talked in the film.
And yes, Han definitely shot first, damnit!
