I love diecast figures, and what lends itself to diecast more than Iron Man?
These 6" figures are certainly very cool looking, but they are also a bit pricey as well. And, even though they are dicast, I think they are still a bit too pricey ($109.99 each). But, perhaps it's that darned licensing fee that we're getting dinged with that's adding to the cost.
Each figure will feature at least 70% diecast, have light-up eyes and chests and will also come with several change-out hands and a unique backdrop and stand.
The figures that were on display at Comic-Con looked to be earlier prototypes, but these seems to be much more functional figures. I'm.... curious to see how these end up looking in person. Play Imaginative certainly has a lot riding on this Iron Man line with about 8-10 figures in both the 1/12 and 1/4 scale planned-- all in dicast.
I hope their gamble pays off, and if the quality is there in the final product, I believe that it will.
As I mentioned, these will be $109.99 each with a release date to be announced.
