Ah, the good old days of the 90's. If you're a long time comic fan like myself, then there was nothing quite like the giant boom of 90's comics.
During that time, I was a comic book shop manager (and right out of high school) and enjoyed the new hype that comic books had been receiving in the mainstream media. Of course that hype also lead to a speculator boom that pretty much created a decade full of mostly worthless comics.
In 1994, I was lucky enough to move from NJ to CA and join Image Comics as an artist on such titles as Bloodstrike, Team Youngblood, Avengelyne and Lady Pendragon (which also had an action figure that I designed and drew the packaging for! WooHoo!).
But, I digress......
Shown off today is a classic Image comics character, now a DC Comics character-- Jim Lee's Grifter from WildCATS. Of course, now he's an official part of the DC Universe and this isn't a classic Image style Grifter, but rather a representation of how he appeared in DC's Infinite Frontier story line.
Unfortunately, once again, it looks like we'll be getting a figure who is known for using guns with.... no guns.
I'm sure this figure will be available for pre-order soon at most major online retailers.
