Pre-orders are up!
It looks like Super7 is aiming for a Q1 of 2023 release for this first wave of Godzilla Ultimates.
The figures look absolutely amazing. I am surprised that they didn't go for the final form of Biollante, however. But, I'm guessing that they may eventually get to that at some point, and they also probably wanted to stay in that $85 price range for a while before branching out into larger and higher priced figures.
I had guessed that these would be in the $85 to $125 range, and it looks like both will be $85 each, so, not a bad price all things considered.
It's interesting that they went with two different head sculpts for Godzilla rather than just having an opening mouth. But, Super7 (and Brian Flynn) are usually about aesthetic over function, so it's also not super surprising that they went this way.
It's also interesting getting this version of Biollante and I don't ever remember seeing a figure of him where he's not in his final form.
