I can not wait to
finally get my hands on
Fans Toys' long awaited version of a "Masterpiece-Style"
Dinobot Slag (which they have named "
Scoria"). It looks like a brilliant, quality piece-- as good as anything Takara themselves could produce. And if it's anything like their Shockwave ("Quakewave"), which I own, then I'm
seriously expecting to be blown away.
As we've already seen, the third
Dinobot figure in their "
Iron Diobot" series will be
"Soar" (aka Swoop), and now, with the release of this announcement, we get word that number three will be Snarl-- or as they call him, "
Sever".
This was, sadly, the only Dinobot that I owned as a kid, so I'm kind of excited to see what they do with this one, but from a look at the design, it looks like he's going to be another home run for Fans Toys.
He's slated to be out some time around the end of the year-- although don't get too married to that date as Fans Toys' prefers perfection to adhering to an announced release date, so he might be pushed back into 2015. He'll be priced at $199.99
