In an inevitable and smart move, Hasbro has partnered with LEGO to begin to release Transformers LEGO figure sets.
They had some very mild success with their own brand building bricks Kre-O, but let's face it, there's LEGO, and then there's everyone else.
Kicking things off is the king (no, not Grimlock) of all the Transformers characters, G1 Optimus Prime.
This set will consist of 1,508 bricks and will ultimately stand 13.7" tall once fully constructed. He will also be able to transform without being disassembled.
Optimus includes his blaster, power axe, a jet pack, the Matrix and more.
He'll be price around (not official yet) $169.99
