TOY NEWS FOR 1/9/2013 - NECA TEASES 1/4 SCALE ELDER PREDATOR COMING LATER THIS YEAR

UPDATE: 4/14/2013 - PROTOTYPE AND PACKAGE MOCK-UP'S!

Here is our first real look at the upcoming-- and freakin' awesome-- 1/4 scale Elder Predator!

Sadly, we can't see much just yet-- but at least we can see something.

Looks like he'll be released this summer (I'm guessing around August), and his partner in this assortment is none other than the "Big Red" Predator, which I think is "ehhhhh" because he's not a part of the actual Predator cannon (and is from the [pretty awesome] fan film "Batman: Dead End"). His design is cool, but his garish red colors are just too ridiculous looking for me.

Elder Predator sword sheath

This is the 1/4 scale Predator I've hoped the NECA was going to make-- the awesome Elder Predator from the end of (the horrible) Predator 2.

With the way that NECA is moving through their 1/4 scale line, it almost seems like they'll be making the entire "Lost Tribe" in a 1/4 scale! And I'm sure that they will, assuming they continue to get the kind of consumer support that they've been getting so far.

I'm still wanting to get the 1/4 scale masked City Hunter to go with my masked Jungle Hunter-- and having the Elder to join them will just awesome!!
