News has come out of thetoybook that the Nacelle Company is binging back Sectaurs!
I absolutely loved the Sectaurs line of figures as a kid. Coleco did some seriously innovative designs and play features with the original series.
Insect steeds that are hand puppets with electronic flapping wings?? Hell, yeah! They were awesome!
There was also a short lived cartoon series in 1985.
Well, now, the company that (as I've mentioned before) brought us The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us, as well as other Netflix shows, is bringing us a new line of Sectaurs figures!
Hopefully, long time toy designer David Vonner will be involved with this line, as well-- and I'm assuming that he will be.
This comes on the heels of their announcement that they'd be bringing back and updating the old Ideal line of Robo Force figures, which were over shadowed by another [transforming] robot line that also debuted in 1984.
They will be having a panel at WonderCon tonight at 6pm West Coast Time (which is starting now) to go over their upcoming toy projects. There will be sure to be news coming out of that panel and I'll report on it here as soon as I have it.
