Toy manufacturer Ramen Toy continues to update their fans on some current figure projects, including their Centurions homage line called "80's Commanders" and their fully licensed line of upcoming Silverhawks figures.
Kicking things off with their 80's Commanders, there is actually two line now. There's the 6" scale figures, which have in come in both an "80's version" and "original version". One is in updated, more realistic, modern colors, and the other is an accurate representation of the colors seen in the original 1980's Centurions figures.
With that in mind, they will be doing two versions of their upcoming "Antagonist Cyborg" (aka Hacker) figure. Here they show off the color differences.
They also gave a nice update on the packaging for their 80's Commanders 3-Pack. This is the "80's Version", which recreates the original colors of each "Commander".
This is set for a May release. You can still pre-order it now direct from Ramen Toy (the only way to get it, currently) for $269.99.
You will still need to pay shipping and applicable tax on the set. Shipping to the US (from China) is estimated at $34-$36 for a slower post, and $59-$62 for a quicker shipping method. The tax you'll need to figure out on your own. 😁
The other-- and new - 80's Commanders line is a realization of figures that were planned for the original Centurions line, but never made it into production due to the line being cancelled.
The figure first up is "Apache Commander" (aka John Thunder).
He will be scaled and designed to fit with your original vintage Centurions figures.
This figure will be priced at $199.99 with an "early bird" pre-order price of $140.00. They will also need to reach a goal of 800 backers. He's not up for pre-order yet.
The final figure-- which is up for pre-order on both the Ramen Toy site as well as at Big Bad Toy Store is the Silverhawks villain Mon*Star.
Here we get a look at how the prototype from the factory is coming along, which is nicely.
The first figure in the line is close to being released, and here we get a look at Quicksilver and Tally-Hawk in the blister in which they will be packaged.
