TOY NEWS FOR 7/7/2013 - SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES - DC COMICS - 1/6 SCALE HARELY QUINN

Funny how a character that was originally planned to just make one single appearance in the Batman Animated Series over two decades ago (how's that for making you feel old?!) has grown become one of the most popular and well recognized DC characters to be created in recent years. Film maker Keven Smith even named his daughter after her!

And so it is that the second figure to be released in Sideshow Collectibles' 1/6 scale DC Comics line will indeed by the Joker's main squeeze, Ms. (Dr, actually) Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn!

I'm glad to see that she comes with two head sculpts. I wasn't too fond of the grinning face as it looks a bit severe for my tastes. But the other face it just perfect for Harley! I love it!

I'm very anxious to see these figures once they are released-- which is the only way with Sideshow to know the true quality of the finished product. (Unlike Hot Toys where you always know you're going to get Grade A quality from top to bottom.) Maybe they'll have something on display at SDCC in a few weeks.
