Even before he appeared in the cartoon, I was reading the original Turtles comics where Raphael and Casey were bad-ass best buds.
I enjoyed all of his iterations, in the cartoon, toy line and even the live-action movie. Casey was just a crazy dude, with weapons like golf clubs and baseball bats, who could actually hold his on side-by-side with the Turtles.
Here, Playmates unveils his much-deserved action figure from the new Nickelodeon cartoon series. (Although I'm really hoping for an eventual Casey for the Classics line.)
This figure will also be part of a contest being held on the official TMNT Fan Club site to 25 lucky collectors/kids. Be sure to check it out for details on how you can enter to win.
Everything about this contest is ridiculous, from it's social network concept down to only twenty-five figures being produced. Worst of all, half the winners will simply sell them on ebay for stupid amounts of money, even though the exact same figure will be out on store shelves in about five months.
ReplyDeleteIf Playmates Toys is able to release the figure now, then they should just release it now, and avoid doing silly contests such as this.
