As you may or may not know, Funko-- the company most known for their Pop! Vinyl figures-- recently teamed up with independent toy manufacturer Super 7 in a deal to distribute their upcoming (next month, in fact) ReAction Alien [movie] action figure line.
Because of this deal and Funko's vast distribution (they are carried by most major outlets), Super 7 was able to greatly expand their ReAction line and announced many new licenses in which we can expect to see similar retro style (or "Kenner inspired) figures.
Now comes word that Funko (perhaps in conjunction with Super 7, although it wasn't mentioned in the announcement) will be creating a line of 6" action figures based on the same licenses that Super 7 announced for their ReAction (3.75") line.
They are as follows: Firefly, Universal Monsters, Back to the Future, Goonies, Terminator 1 & 2, Predator, The Rocketeer, Nightmare Before Christmas, Escape from New York, Pulp Fiction, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV), Star Trek Classic "and many more."
Funko says that this new 6" figure line (titled "Legacy") "will be very much similar in style and accuracy and points of articulation as the Hasbro 6″ Black Series of Star Wars."
Well, if that's true then I will be throwing a lot of money Funko's way in 2014.
According to Funko, we should be getting a look at the line at Toy Fair in February.
