Big Bad Toy Store now has these up for pre-order for an astounding $536.99 each or $1,606.99 for the set. Holy macaroni! That's a lot of dough! Yeah, there's are definitely for the high-end chogokin collectors. And BBTS is usually one of the cheaper places to find Japanese imports, so if they're this much there then you can imagine how hard it will be to find them at a cheaper price elsewhere...

Now this is what collecting Japanese diecast robots is all about!
Check out the latest re-imagining of classic Japanese robots by the folks at Fewture Models and produced by Artstorm. They've previously done Mazinger and Mazinger related characters, but here we have the trio of robots that make up Getter Robo. They all have a decent amount of diecast content and run about 10" tall.
Looking at them, there's nothing wrong with these amazing figures at all! But, there is one problem with them that you can't see. I'm going to show it to you now. Here it is:
They cost about $350.00 each.
Ouch. That means that, for the set of three-- which all come out at once-- you'll need to drop $1,050 plus shipping. Not many collectors have that kind of scratch just laying around. Especially if you're like me and collect all kinds of other figures and collectibles, too.
If you can afford them, then here's what you have to look forward to. If you can't, then here's what you're missing out on.
GETTER DRAGON
GETTER LIGER
GETTER POSEIDON
And if you pre-order all three of them, you receive these bonus accessories: the Double G Tomahawks!
They will be released in Japan on April 30th for Y32,800 each (the aforementioned approx $350 each.)
