These figures looked absolutely amazing when I saw them at SDCC this past year. The only one that seemed a little off was Superman. The head sculpt looked a little too "tough guy" and lacked the nobility that I personally associate with the character.
Of course, Sideshow can present an amazing prototype figure, but where they fall-- and often fall real, real hard-- is in the actual production of the figure. I really hope that this isn't the case with these wonderful looking DC characters.
Sideshow has some of the most talented designers and sculptors in the world and I can't imagine that it feel great to them when all these hard work is crapped out at the factories in Hong Kong. But, with the right quality control-- and the right price (Sideshow tends to way over price their 1/6 figures-- hello GI Joe line!)-- I can see this line being a serious mega-hit.
Fingers crossed.
