I always hated that obnoxious battle cry as a kid. I hate "Cobra La-La-La-La" even more. The cartoon was awful. Corny. Stupid. Nothing like the comics at all.
The comic books were what made GI Joe. It was written by master storyteller and Vietnam Vet Larry Hamma and it was amazing. If you love Snake Eyes and only know him from the toys and cartoons, then you don't know Snake Eyes-- or Storm Shadow-- or any of the characters for that matter!
But, I digress....
Let's get to the topic at hand-- Sideshow's new 12" Cobra Commander figure. This is a much better version than their first CC figure. I wish I had picked up some of these 12" Joes. GI Joe is my all-time favorite toy line and some of Sideshow's 12" Joe figures are pretty good-- this being among them. Of course, some of them are... not, which it why I never collected this line to begin with. Plus, I think Sideshow's 12" figures are overpriced.
As always, there will be a Sideshow Exclusive version which will also include his original style laser pistol.
