With the success of both the TV show and the toy line, McFarlane Toys has announced that it will be creating a new line of 10" figures from the series.
10" is an odd scale, but it's one that McFarlane will seemingly have all to itself. I was interested in this line when I first saw it announced today, but looking at the pic, I really, really fear that they will be 10" statues. I don't see any articulation in this figure. Now, maybe it's a prototype and the articulation cuts haven't been sculpted in yet, but if this is more of the same from McFarlane, people are not going to like it.
McFarlane just received some well deserved kudos from fans and collectors for their articulation on The Walking Dead series 3 figures, to take a step back from that direction, even in a 10" scale, seems strange. But, well all know (Todd) McFarlane loves to do statues than action figures. He prefers sculpt over articulation, and it's his company, so I guess we'll get what ever he thinks we should have. Of course, that doesn't mean that we have to buy it.
That being said, the figure does look great.
He'll include his crossbow (obviously), hunting knife and removable poncho (nice!).
He'll be out in November for 34.99
