TOY NEWS FOR 10/25/2012 - TRANSFORMERS FALL OF CYBERTRON NEW TAKARA PICTURES

Honestly, if you want the best versions of the carded Transformers that are currently available at stores everywhere, then you want the Takara versions from Japan. Of course, that's gonna cost ya.

My biggest problem with the Hasbro Transformers stuff is the paint on the figures-- or lack thereof. The plastic they use-- especially the silver stuff, which I hate with a burning passion-- looks cheap and crappy. So, if you want something that does look like a collector's toy, and has slick, metallic paint apps that really allow the sculpting and figure to shine, then you're going to have to spend the extra cash and invest in the Takara verions.
