HASBRO RETAINS STAR WARS LICENSE AND AQUIRES RIGHTS TO PRODUCE INDIANA JONES FIGURES

Announced today, Hasbro has continued to retain their license to continue to do toys, figures, playsets, etc for Star Wars. So, have no fear, you won't have to adjust to Mattel or McFarlane attempting to do their own versions of Star Wars. You can just keep on collecting your favorite line from Hasbro as is nothing happened-- because it didn't I suppose.

So, along with that news, Hasbro will also be producing figures and products from Indian Jones. Since nothing is coming out until 2023, the same year as the new movie (god help us all) being released, expect initial waves to be heavily based on that film. You can also expect them to be in the 6" collector scale. Perhaps Hasbro will be smart enough to not try to market a brand featuring a 70's man towards children (who won't care about this film), they'll actually market it to the built-in base of fans and collectors (who will buy it up in droves-- if it's done well).

I hope we see something from the Indy brand by the end of this year, but nothing may be revealed until Toy Fair of 2023.
