One of my favorite stops at SDCC is always the NECA booth.
As usual, they had tons of great new products on display.
I'm really excited for NECA's Classic Godzilla line, and the two we've already seen were on display. (Thankfully, NECA has decided to re-sculpt the 1984 Godzilla head and it looks much better!) I was hoping to see some other, new 'Zillas on display, but at least we got a look at the packaging!
One of NECA's biggest reveals was the long teased and highly anticipated Ellen Ripley figure along with some other figures from the line, including the Xenomorph Queen which is absolutely massive!
Planet of the Apes was well represented with figures from both the new movie and the classics.
Also shown was an 8" retro version of Astronaut Taylor, for those collectors who have the old MEGO POTA figures and always wanted a Taylor!
Based of the success of their 8-Bit and other video game figures, NECA is launching a new line based on the old SNES game Robocop vs Terminator.
Here's a screen shot from the game.
The highly anticipated Rambo from First Blood Part II made his public debut. Seemingly, there will be two versions, one with a plain sculpt, the other with a screaming face. The accessories also seem to differ between the two.
Our first look at the final version of NECA's 18" Master Chief was also on display.
The star of NECA's display for me though was the Pacific Rim line-- including the cold reveal of Otachi!
And if you were hoping for the winged version-- have no fear-- he will be coming, also! Complete with winged arms, different head/neck and battle-damaged tail!
NECA also unveiled three new Jeagers! All were in the film, even though only very, very briefly, mostly from the opening of the film.
We also got our first look at the prototype for the Gypsy Danger 2.0 and a very early prototype for the battle-damaged version of 2.0
